A compact and discreet loudspeaker that won’t draw attention to itself - at least, not until it starts performing. If you want a small, easy-to-position speaker that sounds way bigger than it looks, this bookshelf model fits the bill (and your space) perfectly.
If you want scale in your sound but not in the size of your loudspeaker cabinet, you want the new 3020c standmount. It’s ready and able to let you experience all the power and dynamism of your favourite music, but without dominating your living space.
Sometimes you want your music to hit hard and dig deep - but that doesn’t mean you need a great big loudspeaker with a great big driver. No, it means you need the 3030c - the standmount with the greatest bass extension and low-end drive in the range.
The 3050c is the ideal floorstanding loudspeaker. It’s big enough to describe all the presence and power, as well as reveal all the detail and delicacy, that's in your music - but is elegant and well-proportioned enough to not draw attention to itself as it does so.
Projecting dialogue to the front of the biggest Hollywood action-movie soundtracks isn’t easy - but the 3090c is the centre-channel speaker to do it. Distinct, direct and with absolute positivity to its sound and presentation, this is the speaker to put you fully in the picture.
You can create an immersive and absorbing home cinema surround sound system without cramming your room with big, ungainly speakers. Four 3010c, a 3090c centre channel and 3060S subwoofer can whip up a sonic storm to do justice to any Hollywood set-piece - but blend into the background, leaving you to enjoy the sound without any visual distractions.
If you want to bring the blockbuster sound of the multiplex into your home, go right ahead - the 3050c 5.1 system has you covered. With a pair of 3050c floorstanders either side of the 3090c centre channel, a couple of 3010c creating rear-channel atmosphere and a 3060S subwoofer providing rumble and punch, movie night has never sounded so engrossing and convincing.
A genuine advancement in elements of mid/bass driver design, the C3 Continuous Curved Cone™ profile is the result of extensive research and expert engineering to combine the bass performance benefits of a traditional straight conic cone with the high/mid-range frequency control of a flared cone.
By creating a single, smooth, continuous curve profile, the advantages are manifold. Firstly, its excellent dispersion, alongside its well-controlled frequency response, enables smoother integration with the tweeter. Deep bass dynamics are also superior, with this and tighter, damped low-end sound allowing more flexibility in placement of speakers near the wall boundaries of the listening room.
The game changing C3 cone is at the heart of the 3000c mid/bass design. The cone’s geometry requires exceptional motor strength for optimal performance, so substantial magnets are coupled to the voice coils. The control exercised by the large magnets ensures good dynamic response, headroom and tight bass. Apart from these benefits the large magnets also ensure that pole plate and yoke are near saturated, which reduces flux-modulation and harmonic distortion.
Based on the tweeter design principle found in the newest Concept series, the high frequency driver unit is hermetically sealed and mechanically isolated (floating) from the baffle to prevent internal pressure modulations from within the cabinet and adjacent mid/bass driver. The inner chamber is also carefully vented for lower distortion, with a lower crossover point for seamless integration through the crossover region.
Q Acoustics P2P™ (Point to Point™) bracing used throughout the 3000c series supports the parts of the enclosure that need to be stiffened making the new enclosures exceptionally rigid, improving the focus of the stereo image and giving the soundstage more accuracy than ever before.
The 3050c is, like all floorstanding loudspeakers, vulnerable to internal build-up of pressure that causes unwanted standing waves and colouration. To prevent this occurring, specially designed HPE™ (Helmholtz Pressure Equaliser™) tubes are fitted inside the cabinet to nullify internal pressure and improve frequency response.
